Itinerary
Day 1: Casablanca – Exploration and Transfer to Rabat
The journey begins in Casablanca with a visit to the iconic Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world and a symbol of contemporary Moroccan architecture.
Afterward, we head to Rabat, the political capital of Morocco, where we explore the Kasbah of the Udayas, Hassan Tower, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V.
Overnight stay in Rabat.
Day 2: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fez
We depart for Meknes, an imperial city rich in history, recognizable by the majestic Bab Mansour Gate and its gardens.
Next, we visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site featuring mosaics and structures dating back to the 2nd century.
We end the day in Fez, Morocco’s cultural and spiritual jewel.
Day 3: Fez – Cultural Tour of the Medina
A full day dedicated to exploring the ancient Medina of Fez, one of the largest pedestrian old towns in the world.
Visits include Al Quaraouiyine University, traditional tanneries, and local markets where you can appreciate authentic craftsmanship.
Day 4: Fez – Middle Atlas – Ifrane – Azrou – Ziz Valley
Leaving Fez, we cross the stunning Middle Atlas Mountains with stops at:
Ifrane, known for its European-style architecture and cool climate.
Azrou, famous for its cedar forests and Barbary macaques.
We continue to the Ziz Valley, an oasis of palm groves and ancient kasbahs, where we spend the night.
Day 5: Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga (Sahara Desert)
We proceed to Erfoud, known for its fossils and proximity to the desert.
Arriving in Merzouga, we experience a unique camel ride across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, culminating in a spectacular sunset.
Overnight in a traditional desert camp under an incomparable starry sky.
Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
After sunrise in the desert, we set off for the Todra Gorges, a canyon with walls reaching up to 300 meters high, perfect for walking and photography.
Next, we visit the Dades Valley, known as the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs” for its rock formations and ancient fortresses.
Overnight in a traditional accommodation in the valley.
Day 7: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
We start the route towards Ouarzazate, the “Gateway to the Desert,” where we explore Taourirt Kasbah and, time permitting, the famous film studios where many renowned movies were shot.
Finally, we cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains, enjoying breathtaking panoramic views, arriving in Marrakech, the Red City, where this incredible adventure concludes.
