Itinerary
Day 1: Fez – Discover the Medina and History
The trip begins in Fez, the spiritual capital of Morocco and a World Heritage Site. Spend the first day exploring the medina of Fez el-Bali, one of the oldest and best-preserved urban areas in the Arab world.
Visit the Al Quaraouiyine University, the craft workshops, the lively souks, and the famous tanneries where leather is worked using ancestral techniques. Don’t forget to lose yourself in the narrow streets to capture the true essence of this ancient city.
Day 2: Fez – Ifrane – Middle Atlas – Azrou – Ziz Valley
We leave Fez and cross the green mountains of the Middle Atlas. We will stop in Ifrane, known for its European architecture and fresh mountain air.
Then we visit Azrou, famous for its cedar forests and the wild monkeys that inhabit the area. We continue to the impressive Ziz Valley, an oasis full of palm trees and historic kasbahs, a perfect setting for unforgettable photographs.
We will end the day at a hotel or traditional kasbah near the region.
Day 3: Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga (Sahara Desert)
The day begins with the route to Erfoud, known for its fossils and as the gateway to the desert.
Arrival in Merzouga, where we begin a camel ride through the dunes of Erg Chebbi to watch the sunset in the Sahara.
We will spend the night in a traditional Berber camp, enjoying the music, cuisine, and tranquility of the desert.
Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges
After enjoying an unforgettable sunrise in the dunes, we return to Merzouga for breakfast.
We visit Rissani, the former capital of the south and one of the most authentic markets in Morocco.
The next stop is the majestic Todra Gorge, a canyon with vertical walls ideal for hiking and photography.
Overnight in a riad in the Todra Valley or the nearby Dades Valley area.
Day 5: Dades Valley – Valley of Roses – Ouarzazate
Valley of Roses & Ouarzazate Exploration
Our journey takes us through the fragrant Valley of Roses, where endless fields of pink Damask roses bloom each spring. Local cooperatives transform these delicate petals into Morocco’s famous rose water, used in cosmetics and traditional remedies.
The route then leads to Ouarzazate, nicknamed both the “Gateway to the Desert” and “Morocco’s Hollywood.” This desert city boasts the impressive Taourirt Kasbah, one of the country’s most spectacular earthen fortresses.
If our schedule allows, we’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the famous Atlas Film Studios. These sprawling sets have hosted legendary productions including Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator, offering fascinating glimpses into cinematic history.

Day 6: Ouarzazate – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Tizi n’Tichka Pass – Marrakech
We will leave early to visit the iconic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This fortified village is one of the most impressive examples of traditional mud architecture.
Afterwards, we cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas, with numerous stops to admire the mountainous landscape and visit argan oil cooperatives.
Arrival in Marrakech, accommodation in a traditional riad.
Day 7: Marrakech – Exploration of the Medina and Monuments
Full day to discover the treasures of Marrakech.
A must-see visit to Jemaa el-Fna Square, where culture, food, and live entertainment come together.
Tour of the Medina, the Bahia Palace, the Ben Youssef Madrasa, and botanical gardens such as the Majorelle Gardens and the Secret Garden.
Enjoy the local cuisine and the unique atmosphere of the city.
Day 8: Marrakech – Free Day and Farewell
Last day to relax and shop in the souks, try more Moroccan flavors, or simply enjoy a mint tea on a terrace.
Depending on your flight or next destination, we offer transportation to the airport or station.
