Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Tangier – City tour – Chefchaouen

Our journey begins in Tangier, the gateway to Africa, a city with a vibrant mix of European and Arab influences. We take a panoramic tour of places such as the Kasbah, Cape Spartel, and the Caves of Hercules.

Then, we head south through the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen, the magical blue city. Its narrow streets, indigo-colored facades, and relaxed atmosphere offer an unforgettable welcome.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Roman ruins of Volubilis – Meknes – Fez

We leave Chefchaouen for the ruins of Volubilis, an important Roman archaeological site with magnificent mosaics and ancient columns.

We continue to Meknes, one of the imperial cities, where we visit the Bab Mansour Gate, the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, and El Hedim Square.

In the afternoon, we arrive in Fez, the spiritual and cultural capital of Morocco.

Day 3: Guided tour of Fez

A full day dedicated to discovering the secrets of Fez el-Bali, the oldest and best-preserved medina in the Arab-Muslim world, accompanied by a local guide.

  • Chouara tanneries, with spectacular views of natural dyes
  • Craft souks, where leather, brass, and ceramics are worked

Day 4: Fez – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

After breakfast, we head south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. We make stops at:

Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco”

Cedar Forest in Azrou, habitat of the Barbary macaques

Ziz Valley, a majestic palm grove surrounded by Berber villages

We arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon, at the foot of the Erg Chebbi dunes. After resting, we take a camel ride at sunset to the desert camp.

Day 5: Merzouga – Nomadic village – Khamlia – Hassi Labied oasis

We woke up to see the sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast at the camp.

We explored the desert region in 4x4s:

  • We visited nomadic families
  • Discover Khamlia, a village of Gnawa musicians
  • Visit hidden oases such as Hassi Labied
  • Return to Merzouga to enjoy a free afternoon or optional activities (quad biking, sandboarding).

Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

We leave the desert and head for the impressive Todra Gorge, a canyon with vertical walls over 300 meters high, ideal for hiking or taking spectacular photos.

We then continue through the Dades Valley, known for its rock formations and ancient kasbahs.

Day 7: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech

On this day, we cross the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs. We stop in Ouarzazate, where we visit the Atlas Film Studios and the Kasbah of Taourirt.

Then, we explore the legendary Ait Ben Haddou, a World Heritage Site and the setting for films such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones.

We cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260 m) on our way to Marrakech.

Day 8: Guided tour of Marrakech

We discover the secrets of the red city with a guided tour of:

  • Jemaa el-Fna Square, with musicians, snake charmers, and food stalls
